I never expected to become a novelist.
 

Growing up, I wasn't much of a reader unless the story came with pictures. Comic books first sparked my imagination, and while a handful of novels eventually caught my attention, it wasn't until I started writing that I discovered how much I enjoyed storytelling.
 

I was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, but grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. After a brief return to Minnesota for college, I realized I wasn't quite ready for that chapter of my life, so I joined the U.S. Air Force, where I served from 1997 to 2006. Along the way, I discovered a love for building worlds, creating memorable characters, and sharing the stories that grew from them.
 

What started as an experiment quickly became a passion. My favorite part of writing is creating places readers want to explore and characters they want to spend time with long after the story ends. From the first rough draft to the final revision, I genuinely enjoy every step of the process, and sharing those stories with readers has become one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.
 

Today, I enjoy writing mystery, horror, speculative fiction, and stories that blend genres, inspired by history, military experience, science fiction, fantasy, anime, and mystery thrillers. Whether the setting is an isolated mountain town, a supernatural battlefield, or a world where heroes aren't always heroic, my goal is always the same: to create immersive worlds, memorable characters, and stories that keep readers turning the page.
 

My novels include The Timeless Ronin and Shadows Under Ice, the first book in the Stoneveil Mystery series. More Stoneveil novels—and plenty of other stories—are currently in development through The Mediocre Press.
